YMMV Industrial partners with Lego City
Lego City has awarded YMMV Industrial a preliminary exploration contract for the development of an autonomous passenger train service. While self driving vehicles are not without controversy, the civic leaders of Lego City believe autonomous public transit can be safely implemented within the region since the trains do not share roadways with other passenger vehicles. Officials further added the consistent resistance to regularly scheduled work by younger citizens places Lego City in the potential position of having no transit operators within a decade as older drivers retire.
Upon successful implementation in Lego City’s East Industrial and Noodle Street areas, three more service areas could be considered. YMMV Industrial was the selected implementation vendor of choice due to their extensive experience with modernizing existing mechanical technology with radio enabled control but the solution is currently undergoing significant testing and modifications to improve reliability.
“Radio control can be tricky at times due to atmospheric conditions, but the robot trains as we like to call them present a second challenge because the system being controlled is always moving which changes the signal strength. When you have people riding in these vehicles, missing a driving command is not an option. We take safety very seriously at YMMV.”

YMMV technology at Calgary Cyber Security Conference
The 2023 BSides Calgary cyber security conference will include the opportunity to perform ethical hacking against the autonomous train system being developed for Lego City. When asked for comment YMMV CEO Raven Lefebvre responded,
“At YMMV we think it is irresponsible of any company not to fully test products before releasing them in the market, especially cyber-physical technology. Cyber threats are just another thing products must withstand, although we have committed a great deal of resources to ensuring the new train system can withstand cyber attacks, if our engineering team have missed something we welcome responsible disclosure.”

Customer Support Goes Mobile
YMMV now offers text based support for all customers with active contracts. Our customers, especially those supporting field operations, are both mobile and not always able to access the internet. Short messaging service (SMS) consumes considerably less bandwidth than full internet and is often available in areas without good internet coverage. Contact the YMMV support team at supportcontracts <@t> ymmvindustrial.com or 1-587-609-6200 to enable SMS for your field team.
